h4 headlight bulbs

one way to improve your headlights may be to fit these. although they have a blue tipped bulb they have the whitest beam ive seen in an h4.
the review pictures h7 but they are made in h4.

i do a lot of unlit road night driving and loved the osram nightbreakers, until i fitted these.
the nightbreakers lasted 2 winters, plus i work nights coming/going to work, so a good test.
hope these ring xenon ultima last as long.

i payed £13 for a twin pack of night breakers, good value. and the same for these ring xenon ultima, time will tell if they last as well. but i really rate them.

just seen some claims of between 400-500hours lifespan.

How do these bulbs look through the lenses when the lights switched off Ady? Do they look Blue or white. I had an advisory on my MOT test certificate in January saying that my side light bulbs were a tad blue. I can't see how the examiner could have seen if they shone white or blue at night as the test was done in daylight.

If ze Germans decide ve must alles have blue lights, zen ve must. Thank goodness the French grew out of the craze for orange headlights, otherwise we might be cursed with them.

Sounds like your MoT man is waging a one man war on something he doesn't like. Rather like me with left handed indicator stalks and Volkswagen type 25 gear shifts designed to be operated from the left side. Power to the rebel. It's a shame the British motorist didn't have the tenacity of the greengrocers and the pint drinkers.

Not that I prefer dim headlights on the open road, although the original Jap ones are more civilised for town driving - almost as good as dim dip. And I've never had to change them, so I suspect that my MoT man is batting for the same side!

I've got some brighter spares but still waiting for the originals to pop, which probably means that the brighter they burn the shorter they last.

Oh, pooooo...I've just bought a set of nightbreaker H1s and H7s for the Bongo....yet to finish the job.....sounds like the Ring might have been a good bet

dont worry helen the nightbreakers are good, ----but these ring are a tad better.
i do find it a balance between good, and bloody annoyingly illegally bright.these are legal so good enough for me.
