Leisure Battery installation

Hi I have recently bought a 1995 2.5 Bongo 4WD i want to install a leisure battery and im looking at split charge relay's i want to run a 110/amp leisure battery. Can anyone tell me what size relay i need and what thickness wiring please?

By far the best, easiest and Safest solution is the "Willinton kit"

These are made by Martin Bird, and sold on eBay.

He often has nothing for sale, but if you contact him via eBay, he will make a kit for you and list it.

Just put the Willinton kit in mine, I replaced the bodged up job that was in previously and it took about 15 mins to rip out the old and fit the new kit.

Best price I found for a battery was "Alpha Battery Man" on ebay, 90amp leisure battery for £65 with 2 year warranty, I was going to go for the 110A but it would have touched the bonnet, didnt fancy a short across the battery !! and didnt fancy paying the extra for a low profile battery either

I got my NuMax XV30HMF 113aH from http://www.leisurebatteryshop.co.uk/113 ... ard-Layout. It was £90 + postage in 2010. Wee bit dearer now.

For the swivel seat, I was inspired by the video that Rita has linked to, but there were no plans being offered around, so I made my own.

It works pretty much the same way, except the single skewer is replaced with a pair of them, and they go in from behind the seat - this means that the seat can also still slide when it's locked down (either way round)

I squeezed a 135Ah Energy Bull battery in there - terminals away from the bonnet. Very tight fit but loads of onboard power. Gutsiest move I ever made

I'll try and dig out details. But it is a tight fit (no retaining strap needed, and I may have had to loosen heater intake duct to ease it in) and i'm not looking forward to having to remove it ha ha.
