one roof motor

Post by antman » Sat Apr 28, 2012 7:53 pm

Hi all
Just as my roof is nearing full extension is judders a little, is this due to the fact I can only see one motor on one side? Is this normal? Have lubricated all struts.

Cheers

It's normal, but can be helped by lubing the bottom runners, on both sides of each rail, with lithium grease.

There does seem to be some grease but not sure on both sides, it did wonder if the motor was not quite man enough, cheers

There are two motors, one each side, both the same place at the rear end of the top guide.
But yes they can judder a bit.

They normally have a plastic cover over the motors, but sometimes they are missing so the motor is visible.
