Hello
At the weekend a friend of mine started fitting an alarm to our yr 2000 V6 Bongo. He struggled a bit with it and couldn't complete the job and has said a wiring diagram would make life significantly easier. Does anyone know where I can get one OR has anyone fitted an alarm successfully to a van of this age and could perhaps point me in the right direction identifying the relevant wires? I have asked Ian but he says they don't have a wiring diagram for newer vehicles.
Hope you can help
Dave

You might find the Wiring Diagrams that are online as a starting point, they don't cover the year 2000 model but you might find that the differences are minimal see http://www.igmaynard.co.uk/bongo/forum/ ... =3&t=36657

Any approved alarm installer should be able to fit an alarm to just about any vehicle of any age. I've written guides for diesel bongo's and as far as i'm aware the vehicle base looms are the same colous, with few differences, like immobiliser points etc, but they shouldnt be discussed on an open forum anyway. how far did your friend get??

Thanks Geoff, will bear it in mind.
Hi Julian, thanks for the advice. He's done quite well so far in that he has the movement sensor, central locking actuator and possibly the immobiliser bits working well but he was struggling with finding the wiring for the indicators and door-open switches.....I hope it isn't too cheeky but if you could possibly PM me any of the guides you mentioned for fitting I would be eternally grateful?
The guy doing it is a family friend. He's a very good domestic electrician and mentioned to me a while ago that he can do car alarms 'no problem'. I took him up on the offer but he has struggled with the job for several reasons. With hindsight I wish we'd never started but we're too far in now to change the way we've gone about it and must push on.....
Best regards
Dave
