Waeco CF 18 Broken

Post by Mazman » Thu Mar 22, 2012 1:12 pm

Hello.
Our Waeco CF 18 has stopped working.
We haven't used it that many times but it's a few years old now, no way i can afford another.
Anyone know where i can get it repaired.
We are in Bristol.
Thanks for the help in advance.

Nothing on the website about your area - it says to contact Waeco at sales@waeco.co.uk

These people sell the spares on behalf of Dometic..... so may be able to assist with a service centre.....anyone else needs a part..... download the pdf.... cross refer the part number before you phone them and when you call ask for Steve.... He will confirm what you need and if in stock he will send for next day delivery..... give him payment details etc....

Could one of us not help out? Is it a compressor fridge or absorption? Is it totally silent or hums a bit?

CF18 is a compressor fridge. A few things to check:

1) What position is the slide switch in: Hi, Off, or Low? Try setting it to Low
2) What position is the dial in? Try turning it to the coldest setting
3) How have you got it connected: via cigarette lighter socket or hard wired?
4) Have you tried switching it on when the engine is running? These fridges do need a decent voltage to get them started, so having the engine running ensures you have a good supply
5) What colour is the LED showing?

Wow. Forgot to check this after I posted it. Thanks for the comments. The fridge has fired up once then just goes to red error light. I use the cig lighter lead. I have a mains box thingy that I pluged it into but still no good. I have tryed on high low etc but no joy. Just goes to error.
