Hello
Could someone point me in the right direction to locate the rev counter sensor (NE sensor?) please on a 2.5 diesel.
Thank you.

See the diagrams referred to in this thread the exact position depends on the version of the vehicle, some times called a Pulse Generator and in later versions referred to as the NE Sensor

Sorry to hijacy but while we're on the subject do you know if its a VR sensor or a Hall Effect sensor? I'm guessing VR as they call it NE. How many teeth are there?

Thanks Julian - it's a 2003 model - will have a look when I'm off work.
Very occasionally the rev counter stops working but I don't get any other symptoms like the hold light flashing.
It may be a dodgy connection as usually a good thump on top of the dash gets it working again, but wanted to check the sensor out.
