Anyone have any clues on this? My Bongo keeps blowing water out of the top of the expansion tank (I think). I have bled the system (3 times +), checked for leaks (none), flushed the system - fitted a new rad - shall I go on? You name it, I've done it.
The other day I did 250 miles without problem. No loss of coolant, so I thought I'd sorted it. The next day, I drove to B&Q (4 miles), came back after 20 minutes to find water dripping out of the overflow hose. Drove home, let it cool down till the next morning and in the morning the header tank was virtually empty.
Any ideas?

Lots of people will be along shortly to give you proper advice on what it could be but if I was you I'd get it recovered to Allans in Plymouth and not drive it until its been sorted. Hopefully it just needs bleeding

Re: Bongo keeps losing water
First thing to try is a new pressure cap - several recent reports of them failing.

Hi, i have had exactly same problem, water trickling from base of header tank. prised back header tank retaining clips, found perished gasket. went to local radiator specialist (aircraft/commercial/cars) only solution new rad.cheers

Sorted (I think). Problem continued with pressurised system until driving through the centre of Bath when the temperature shot up. Managed to turn off the engine before it got too hot - and an RAC man diagnosed a stuck thermostat. Unbelievably, he removed it by the roadside (no spare to hand), we bled the system and it is going fine (if a bit cool). I will now get a genuine Mazda thermostat and some antifreeze and hopefully that's it. Obvious really, but I had the thermostat replaced twice, so you wouldn't think two of them could be faulty - but then I didn't get the genuine Mazda parts from Bongo Fury!!! Lesson learnt and hopefully job done.
