Driver side window electrics.

Ye God's I cannot believe it's been so long since I last asked a question  but, the double switch controlling driver's front window no longer worked so have replaced it having first checked that it was not the electric motor that had died. Conclusion broken wire, not fuse cause passenger window worked even with dodgy switch. Question is there a harness replacement because the wiring where cables exit body into door looks decidedly dodgy, or am I going to have to do some work like making one to join into original system under dash. Things have been going so well. Chap in village turned up on holiday with a Bongo bought just before he left for Portugal, got a few hundred Kms into France and the engine blew...about £3,000 and a very unhappy wife. Nobody had warned him to keep an eye on the Temp. bought from a dealer not a private buy. Hope to persuade him to fit a Temp. warning system before he heads back to UK. cheers, Jacobus.

The normal on the harness is just to repair it, quite a few threads about the problem, Jaylee is probably best to speak to!

contact a breaker, the harness concerned is only small from the door to just inside the body to a multi plug, so easy to swap out.

It's probably just the thick black wire in the loom. I used a block connector as a "temporary" repair, but it's still there and working
