Help - Please help me identify parts before freda dies

Post by jammar » Fri Jun 30, 2006 10:34 pm

Hi folks,

please help before freda becomes terminal. Family looking forward to holiday in two weeks so need freda to be healthy.

found a pin prick leak on coolant system today, fortunatley hardly any coolant loss and no overheating yet. Problem self healed with a bit of gunk and a quick fidget with hose but I urgently need assistance in identifying a couple of parts so that I can ensure problem does not reapear and cause damage.

problem area under passenger seat.

Can anybody tell me from looking at the photo what the metal pipe where the leak comes from is?

What is the rubber hose part description to the right of the leak.

Any advice and details of the parts required to remedy the problem.

I'm in Anglesey North Wales, does any no of any garages withinb the vicinity that have bongo experience, especially with the water works. :(

Alternator to the left, dipstick nearby, you have to remove large pipe that is part of turbo system I think to get clear view.

I think that?s the thermostat housing I have just replaced the large hose leading from that; it had a bunion in it. It cost ?7.10.

What you need is one of those small garages where there is a real mechanic. He or she will braze that for you!

The best way to find such a garage is ask the local taxi operators where they take their cars!

Other than that Bell Hill breakers may have the part. It looks like the hot water feed to the rear heaters if it is it is unlikely to be the same as the Ford Ranger and therefore not available from main ford dealer. You could always give that a try though.

Hope that is helpful.
