front heater wont switch off?
I have the electronic type unit....seems to work fine except when I press the off button, hot air still comes out of the floor ducts in the front (no fan running and not when at rest so I assume under 'ram' effect)...it's fine on these coldish days, but could soon be a problem when it gets hot outside! Don't know if its pertinent but recently had a new rad/stat installed. Any ideas?

Set the temperature to something comfy before you switch it off so the air that keeps coming thru is about right.

Mine is the same. I set mine at 18 degrees ( keeps me alert on long journeys) before I switch off (except in really cold weather then it's at 25) It seems to maintain the temperature even without being switched on. I think its a very clever system. Hardly have to switch the fans on really unless we are steamed up with soggy bodies.

Hi downward dog,
That is quite normal with Fresh Air heating systems,if you want to stop the outside air flow to the heater/cab you will need to set the controls on recycle.
PS you will also be getting the stink from vehicles in front of you.(most of the time we are driving about in Gas chambers)
Cheers.
