Driver side wing mirror sticking
When using the control on the dashboard, both mirrors can be adjusted. Problem is that only the passenger side unit (mirror and casing) will move. When switched to the driver side, I can hear the motor but it's only turning the passenger side.

Hi,
Sounds like a faulty switch.
Cheers.
Re: Driver side wing mirror sticking
If the motor you can hear is from the offside mirror (there is a motor in each mirror), then you might find that the mirror has just been forced back, in which case the gears can be re-engaged by manually pushing the mirror back into the Open position, and then closing them again, often this is accompanied by some clicking from the mirror as it resets back into position.

... Or, worst case.. If you have a bit of give in the folded out position of the mirror? (A bit floppy by about an inch?)
Then the plastic spindle may have snapped in the gear mechanism cog set up..? A pain to fix.. I hope not!

Or, you could just have a broken fold out/in control wire in the drivers door loom between the door & body...! Fiddly, but easier fix..! (Edit) You can hear the motor... Then i'd look into the former suggestion..

Cheaper by comparison to a race horse...
