Oil temp & Pressure gauge

Post by maviczap » Sat Jan 21, 2012 9:18 pm

Ok I've asked this question in another thread, but got no response

I've bought an aftermarket oil temperature gauge. where can I screw the sensor into. No good trying to get a sandwich plate for the oil filter, as no one does them for the Bongo.

Instructions say don't use a T piece as it needs a flow of oil over it to register temp. So can't use the oil pressure switch location

So where else, in the sump drain plug using an adapted drain plug off ebay, what thread size?

Same for the pressure gauge, fit a t piece to where the oil pressure switch goes on the engine or somewhere else?

I've got to buy a sender for the oil pressure gauge.

Both are the electrical type not the capillary tube type.

Hi maviczap,

Have a look at the Oil Level Sensor on the side of the sump, you might be able to adapt it to fit a temp sensor.
