I do both but the sea fishing this year has been a waste of time.

It was last year as well :(
There's lots of whiting and dabs about, but very few cod  I usually fish off Lowestoft South Pier because it's easy access and I'm idle

It must be in walking distance,We went out in a boat about 3 years ago and got 48 cod between 5 of us as the other five were ground baiting over the hand rail.I was border line myself but managed to keep it all down.We fish Gorleston beach or the harbour but like i said a waste of time.

I've never done well at Gorleston beach either, even by the wreck :( The river can be good, but the flow makes it very difficult when the tide is running. Yarmouth north beach used to be quite good, but there's no water there now - it's very shallow and often weedy
