Fit a straight pipe instead - cheaper, better and fitted by loads of members 8)

Hi,I believe that a Ford Connect tailpipe will fit with a bit of fiddling.

Just remember that removing any major part of an exhaust system is a MOT failure, but I think you would need a switched ON Tester to spot it on these vehicles.

Cheers.

Not unless the rules have changed recently. Providing there are no leaks and it isn't too noisy, it will pass an MOT.

As I've said before the standard "oil drum" is a waste of space and weight.

If you have a decent local garage or exhaust fitter ask them to source and fit a small straight through box - it's all you need.

Worth noting there are two types of exhaust systems. The most recent link from Mike is the 4 part version for vans with the winter warm up valve fitted, but there are probably more Bongos out there with the 3 part version. While the backboxes will probably be the same in both cases, the front section is not interchangeable. If the front section is in good nick, then I personally would just replace the broken bit.
