No power

Post by David Edwards » Sat Oct 22, 2011 11:34 am

As most people on here will know I have been waiting for my bongo engine repair for some time now, had a phone call this morning saying it is starting and running nice but there is no power and she does not want to pick up more than 45 to 50 and they cannot understand why, I am off to Devon in a few mins but would welcome any suggestions to help, I have told them when I return next saturday I am taking it elsewhere for a fresh look at it, getting really fed up now. It was pulling like a steam train before even when it dropped the cylinder, lol. Looking forward to your views peeps, bit different driving around devon in a rover ,lol.

Turbo hose not connected somewhere..? Like the one coming up from the inter-cooler to the elbow at the front of the engine?? I've had that one come loose before.. they certainly feel their weight when it does..!
Cheaper by comparison to a race horse...

Hi,
Did the garage check/clean/replace ALL the filters?

Cheers.

how extensive was the engine repair? fuel pump failing or mistimed? silly as it sounds, block in the air filter?
