Hi Everyone
Anyone know if the automatic gate should be illuminated to show the postion of the lever in the dark.

Yes, there is a bulb which should be on while the ignition is on. However, is is not especially bright.

Mine only illuminates when the lights are on, worth cleaning the indicator strip from behind, hell of a lot brighter then
