alpine AI-net

is anyone cluded up on the alipne AI-net.
i'm looking at running to alpine head units in my bongo.
the first will be my usb head unit and the other will be a dvd monitor both have AI-net on them.
i'm hoping that i will be able to connect the dvd head unit the the dvd changer input on the alpine brain unit i have and use the optical out for the audio and then control all the volumes from the usb
head unit. does anyone know it this will work or not i have heard you can set alpine head unit to master and slave but i don't know to do this.
