Speedo conversion V6

Post by Laverda981 » Wed Jul 20, 2011 1:48 pm

I want to convert the white faced clocks on my V6 to MPH. Has anyone bought the replacement white MPH clocks from Ebay for £45? They appear to be the only option other than wiring in a chip, which is better?

Have bought a couple of sets recently direct from Visual Performance. The ones from Ebay are the same except you can purchase the chrome rings from the Ebay supplier.

Slightly confused about what you are trying to achieve as both types of VP white dials read in MPH.

Type MZ-103-C full scale reads 0 to 110 MPH but no conversion chip fitted and Odometers both read in Kilometres.

Type MZ-104-C full scale reads 0 to 180 MPH, needs a conversion chip fitted and Odomaters both read in Miles.

I prefer the MZ-103-C ..... 0 to 110 MPH set as it's much easier to read 30 MPH on the dial and the Bongo is never going to do 180 MPH unless you happen to be heading towards the White Cliffs of Dover at high speed, I have no problems with the Odometers reading in Kilometres and some of the cheaper conversion chips are known to fail after a relatively short period.

Ben.

Thanks for the advice, I will purchase the 110mph faces.
