Trouble with drivers side elecric window switch

Hi,
Any help appreciated!
Our drivers side rocker switch has become loose and has now stopped working (window stuck down!) On taking it out and examining the plastic rocker switch it seems that the plastic is broken at the side of the switch ( white plunger and spring inside seem OK) therefore the switch will not opperate.
I find that a new switch assembly is £180 !!
Any help with a cheaper solution appreciated.
Thank you
Ely-freda

Hi,
Thanks for replies. Have looked at the link Miss fixit - very useful thanks. Tried Ebay but none on at present, will keep looking.
Thanks Northern - I have managed to tape up switch at present and it has got window closed but nothing else. So cant photograph tonight, but the part broken is the actual rocker push that you press on to operate the drivers window.
Kind of you to offer thanks.
cheers,
Ely-freda

The slightest play in the rockers can mean that the slide switches below don't travel far enough.

I'm thinking of very carefully drilling right through the entire switch axis (driver and passenger switches side by side) and fabricating a strong axle and improved end bearings.

However it isn't quite 'broke' enough yet to justify fixing it.
