Had a couple of ideas from Ady already. Has anyone else had this and how did you fix it?

or blank it of and put a "T" in the unbroken stub .teenmal wrote:Hi,
You could try a brass straight connector the correct size and screw it in.
Cheers..

The broken stub on the air intake pipe from the air filter
We took a basic cycle repair kit
Selected a valve
Discarded the valve cap
Drilled a 3mm diameter hole through the valve
In the position of the original stub, drill a hole 4.5mm diameter through the pipe wall
Using a pair of pliers to hold the valve, screw it into the 4.5mm hole (the valve will make its own thread in the plastic pipe).
The plastic air pipe is thicker at the stub location so the actual thread is about 5mm deep.
and hey presto - a VERY rigid stub.
Ditto.....You could try a brass straight connector the correct size and screw it in.
Glad you got it sorted.
Cheers..

Sorry - I can see why you misunderstood - my poor choice of words. The reason I showed 2 arrows is that I did the original post quickly from memory, and wasn't quite sure which of the two it was.missfixit70 wrote:widdowson2008 wrote:Kirsty - That's the rocker cover breather connection isn't it? ................
Hi Kirsty - No, it's the air intake that comes directly from the air filter.
I was looking at the first pic you put up with the arrows with 2 to choose from & meant the right hand one which jumped out at me, which IS the rocker breather connectionWasn't paying attention enough (it was early hours of the morning
) to see the other one.
Good fix though

Was she seeking out the new valve perhaps?
