Break-in Window Replacement?

Post by Bodiebongo » Tue Jun 28, 2011 7:24 pm

Hi there, we've only had our Bongo a month and already suffered from a dreaded break-in!! :( The thieves smashed the little window, just near the wing mirror at the driver's side, and then reached/used something to open the lock and robbed our CD/DVD player.

Some advice needed please, I'm not sure if we should claim on our insurance-big excess and afraid of premium hikes, so how do I go about replacing the window? I phoned Autoglass and they quoted a very large amount, other windscreen glass specialists said that they don't have the parts in stock and I should contact a specialist. I could try doing the job myself but would need some advice on how to and where to get the window from, or does anybody know a dealer/someone near to London where I could get it fixed? Thanks in advance for any advice!!

Discount trucks in Newbury may help or try Behill or wheel quick.
