AFT Tent question

Post by seventiesboy » Thu Jun 02, 2011 5:59 pm

My AFT tent has become detached at 4 of it's fixing points to the roof. These are at the back end of the tent. What is the best way to reattach it as they don't hold when simply pushed back in?
Would Araldite provide a suitable bond without damaging the AFT plastic/fibreglass or whatever it is made of

Any thoughts and ideas gratefully appreciated.

Mine do this from time to time if you try to put them back in while the roof is fully open the tent is to taught, but if you lower the roof slightly you may find that they will pop back into place easier.

get a P3 scredriver and a pair of pliers, grip the insert (bit thats come out) and unscrew it, use some epoxy glue like araldite and stuff it back in the hole it came out of, might need some gentle taps to get it re-seat ,but once its back in it wont come out again

Thanks for the quick advice guys =D>

Julian, I guessed that they would need something to hold them in, just didn't want to melt the roof with some noxious chemical without good advice first, so thank you for that.

That will be me kept busy tomorrow then.
