New wheel arches...thanks for members' help

Post by serge » Tue May 10, 2011 8:30 pm

Hi all

Many thanks for all of the advice given on replacing the rusty wheel arches on my beloved Bongo

I purchased off and nearside Mk6 transit wheel arches from Hadrian on Ian's advice, and had them fitted and sprayed at a body shop near Milton Keynes for the princely sum of £250 for each side........they look great, and the body shop has guaranteed them for the life of my Bongo (no more then 10 years he hopes) and this to me is a great deal

If someone can tell me how to download photos onto the forum, I will do so....got some great pics, have tried to insert pics and failed. As a point of interest, now that the shop has done a Bongo, he is keen for more ( he tells me he is fed up of VW's, Bongos produce a better finished product!), so if anyone is looking in this area let me know

Can't wait to have a weekend away to show off

Speak soon

Hi all

Hadrian are contactable on 01373 865684, and the part numbers are:

30 53 508 - right hand arch
30 53 509 - left hand arch

They cost me £90.89 delivered

The guy who did mine is Richard at Akeley Bodyworks, Thornton, Buckingham, tel 01280 814566 or www.akeleybodyworks.com at £250 each

I am really chuffed, a great job, but am useless on the net, so still can't download pics, but will e-mail if anyone wants to see the job

This is a great forum, so much good help
