4WD to 2WD conversion issues?

Hello there folks. I have been considering converting my auto 4WD to 2WD. I have read the fact sheet (ages back) which appears straight forwards. Talking to a mechanic it appears there may be issues with the rear axle after a 2WD conversion? Axle wind-up by all accounts.... personally I don't think there would be any issues, anybody out there converted their Bongo?

A few have done it with no problems.
