parking pole fitting
hi - can anyone advise on fitting instructions for parking pole?. It's the one that fits on left hand corner [ passenger /nearside ] of front bumper and wires into lights as it has bulb on top. do i need to dismantle bumper/headlight etc?
Re: parking pole fitting
Mmmm. parking pole! I have no idea personally, other than i would wire it up with its own relay & switch to come on with the side lights. As you would a fog light!!
It's easy to isolate/turn off should that magic wand bedazzle your peripheral vision..
The bumper should be easy to cut into... http://www.lushprojects.com/bongopartsm ... mgno=.html
Where roughly are you based, i love a challenge...!

Cheaper by comparison to a race horse...

Re: parking pole fitting
i recently removed a damaged one from mine,it has a special bracket that fits near the nearside fog light mount, high up in the front bumper, the proper controller for this is a special switch, which i think was activated as jaylee suggests only when you switch the lights on,or a manual overide.
if you contact haydn callow on the forum he may have the parts you need, and maybe a how to do it pack.

Re: parking pole fitting
thanks for the responses. It is the fitting of the pole i am unsure of rather than the wiring. I have the bracket that looks as tho it is shaped to fit under the bumper with a similar shaped rubber cover/seal which i assume fits on top of bumper. it seems as i feared i have to remove bumper which will in turn mean removing bull bars i think. oh well life's full of 5 mionute jobs !
p.s Jaylee i'm on border of sheffield/ chesterfield - kettle's always on !
seriously tho' guys , thanks for the help, the bumper diagram at least shows it's not so daunting even for the mechanically inept such as me !

Re: parking pole fitting
it was quite fiddly to remove mine, but it did not need the bumper to be removed.
