Nantcol Waterfalls, Llanbedr, N.Wales, May 13-15th

If you are going away somewhere and don't mind meeting up with other Bongo owners or if you've been somewhere & want to tell us about it & stick up your photos, put the details here.

Nantcol Waterfalls, Llanbedr, N.Wales, May 13-15th

Post by LoopyLoo » Fri Mar 25, 2011 9:30 pm

Hi all

I have booked to stay at Nantcol Waterfalls on the above dates

Does anyone else wanna come?

It'll be my first weekend camping on my own with the kids as my OH (Chris) has accepted a job abroad and leaves the UK on the 30th April so any adult company appreciated

You can book online http://www.nantcolwaterfalls.co.uk/ (you have to pretend to be a 'tourer' as there isn't a campervan option)
Its £8 per adult, £3 per child, £4 for hook up if needed and £1 for a dog, showers 50p. Fires are allowed :D

I get the impression from reviews that hookups are at the back of the site and not near the river, but I could be wrong. I haven't bothered booking hook up as I'm hoping for a heatwave 8)

I haven't made any special arrangement with the site but I might drop them an email to out of courtesy if there's a few of us.

Apparently the approach road is very steep and narrow, but we should be ok but if towing a caravan be wary of having to reverse, etc.

Depending on weather I'm going to go to Shell Island for a day trip to check it out with a view to a further trip there :) There's Harlech Castle not too far away either (although I profess I don't know the area very well)

Lou :)
