sliding door wont.....flippin well close

Hello all, just got back from a 3000km 99.999% hassle free trip round france. I saw lots of bongos on the roads

But now we have returned the sliding door refuses to close up.
I have looked all over the forum and seem to be the only one with a door which wont latch closed.
motors whir latches click and door stays open.

cant slam it at there is something 'blocking' the mechanism.

I have checked the latches and visually they all seem to be clear/free, locked and unlocked it and looked for obstructions in the runners, all OK.

any ideas?

PS. was it you at Contis plage? metallic green hi top camper?

Sounds like the latch itself may have become disconnected/broken if the motor's making all the right noises?
