Eyup all as some of you will know i'm useless with electrics
I'm hoping someone can tell me how to wire this socket up please as theres only one terminal & usually theres a live & earth one~also what amp fuse for inline fuse should i use.

Brilliant J~any idea what fuse rating.

given its 12 volts type, divide the wattage rateing by 12 , then double it.

so ,say its 36 watts (notice how i picked an easy number ) divided by 12 equals 3, times 2 equals 6amps

And with that calculation in mind, remember that the fuse is there to protect the circuit, so the wiring must be 6 amp or more. No point in having 4 amp wire protected by a 6 amp fuse....

That's the same socket I have used in my conversion. Works a treat.

Also - whilst you are planning on using a coolbox and can work out the wire/fuse ratings based on that bear in mind that the socket is pretty universal so could be used for anything else that fits.

I got mine from here

I got rid of those on my conversion and went for CBE sockets instead..... with a frame...... jobs a good un and 10 amps..

Jaylee, it's a caravan one that's fitted in an ouside flap along with a 240volt socket.
