Lowering springs

Post by MatEmily » Tue Apr 06, 2010 10:15 am

Hi all

After much thought and consideration I've decided my Bongo is too low, going over speed bumps and potholes sounds far too damaging, especially with the bike rack on the back. Anyone any idea how much a set of standard springs are, or even how much a second hand set of lowering springs are worth? Also any decent garages in the Manchester area that would carry out such an operation??

Seems to be some on ebay:

plus BF members ebygum32 and tonic are both breaking Bongos at present - you could try PMing them.

I would imagine any decent garage could do the job, but my preferences for Bongo specialists would be Wheelquick in Wigan and Adrian at JapAutos (I think he trades as) in Bury. BF member Veedub has a machanic friend in Altrincham who he says is familiar with Bongos - you could try PMing him too.

I would be interested in your lowered springs if you are selling them.

Wheelquick in Wigan are a recommended garage so give them a shout.

Any contact details for Adrian at JapAutos? Can't see him on the garages list.

Searching old threads, apparantly he is listed as 'Japan Direct' in the yellow pages for Bury. Apologies for the wrong info earlier on
