I've done a search on this, printed off a Lush diagram which is gibberish to me. I could do with it working since my wife cannot slam the door hard enough to make it close.
The closing mechanism just clicks, I have cleaned the contacts but no joy. If it's clicking it must be making contact anyway. I saw a reference to a belt coming off, but cannot see any belt on the drawing. I also found a reference to a new closing motor costing £1000, which sounds frightening. Advice would be welcome, but since my technical abilities are limited, I may struggle if it is very technical.

Re: Electric side door just clicking
Problem solved!
After cleaning contacts, poking around and slamming the door 30 times:
1. Post problem on the Forum.
2. Give up and clean van.
3. Start engine, try door.
Hey presto, door works!
The forum wins again. Hope this helps others!

I was just projecting healing thoughts at it for you Geoff

You can't polish a turd - but you can roll it in glitter.

I did wonder if it was the shock effect of cleaning the van.
