I am aware this question has been asked before but on doing some research I have not found a definitive answer.
I have a 2wd 1996 Bongo which came with RX8 wheels on it, the tyres are all the same size 225/45's the rears need replacing and I don't know what size to go for as I have seen many different sizes being quoted as being the best. If it helps I the Bongo is used to ferry two adults and three kids on a daily basis plus and also used for camping where this this year we will be towing a trailer down to the South of France.
Could someone confirm that the load rating should be 96 or over.
I live in the Yeovil area and if anyone reading this has knowledge of a tyre outlet that supplys and fits at a reasonable price I would be greatful for their details.
Thanks
James.

Re: Mazda RX8 Wheels
Best to keep to the same size.
Assuming all four of yours are 96 or above you could save a few quid by swapping the fronts to the rear & sticking a pair of 92s on the front as the rears take more weight, the fronts are a fair bit cheaper.
Hope that makes sense!!

Personally I'd go for higher than 96, if you look at the plate on your door panel, or the handbook, the tyre rating is size dependant, only one size is rated at 92, the rest are rated at 96 or 98 & that is based on the standard 15" wheels, I'd go for at least a 98, but that's just me. Give Bathwick Tyres a go, the Weymouth guys do ok for me, but I've only got 17's.
