Motorhome Show, Wellington, Somerset Feb 5-7th

Post by Bin Bongoed » Sun Jan 31, 2010 4:07 pm

Billed as a replacement for the cancelled January Shepton Show, motorhome dealers Chelston are holding a big motorhome show next weekend. There are over 200 vans booked in at the free camping site at Taunton Racecourse. There is free hourly transport between there and Wellington. Free hog roast, free evening entertainment and disco. You have to book in now. There are at least a couple of Bongos going. When you book, when the girl hears that you have a Bongo, she goes "Yeaa!" so they seem to be Bongo friendly.

See here:

so we could have a mini meet!

It's the "Free" bit that got me interested.

Looking forward to seeing you Jo, seems ages since we did. Perhaps because it has been ages!
As Lyn said, can't be any colder than Caradon.

I thought the rescheduled show was for 9-11 April?

Whilst liberal use of the word "free" appeals greatly, we've got to go up to Peterborough some time in February when mother in law moves house, and we're not sure which weekend it is (yes, I know that 5-7 is next weekend, and we should know by now  ). Pity, I'd like that because I had intended going to the January one just for something to do.

Yes, the Shepton show is rescheduled, this is run by Chelston Motorhomes, don't suppose they have any connection with the Shepton mob. But like I say, it's free, so who cares?

Thank you, Mike. We probably would if we could but by the time we've checked out mother in law's new flat and hubby's put a few picture hooks up; caught up with sister in law and brother in law separately (never the twain shall meet) and also the other sister in law (who might manage to liaise with her sister to save us time but who also doesn't see her brother socially) and my husband's best friend (who will probably invite his parents down from Lincoln for the occasion) AND taken Isaac on the Nene Valley Railway (this will be our fourth trip to Peterborough and will probably be the fourth "sorry darling maybe next time" non train trip. It's always a lot to pack into two days.

I'll take the details with me if we do go that weekend, just in case a request to go to Rutland Water "for five minutes" meets with my husband's approval

Sorry - I know Mike and I should have PMd each other. I was having a very fast foray on to the forum whilst the Mad Four Year Old was otherwise occupied.

It is about the Motorhome Show, which I'm probably not coming to. Please proceed on this thread without further interruption from me

I'll probably have a look in sometime over the weekend, but seeing as I'm only 5 minutes from Chelston, I don't think I'll bother going all the way over to Taunton Racecourse to camp overnight

Anyhow, if you spot a T reg silver over grey AFT at Chelston, do come and say hello :)
