Not really clued up on this Buddy. I have always assumed that heat comes from the engine via the cooling pipes and is regulated by some sort of gate via the controlls. This would lead me to believe that the gate on your heater must be sticking at low temperatures and springing open full when it reaches 32°. But then I could be talking a lot of bosh.

Had a similar problem with our 2l petrol Bongo which has climate control. Would only blow out cold air until it reached about 32 degrees on the dial. From a previous blog on Bongo Fury, discovered there was a lever just behind the air intake ( under the bonnet) which controls the air input to the climate control. Forward for Summer (cold air from outside) and in the Back position for Winter when it takes warmer air , probably from over the exhaust. Did the trick - now get warm/hot air at sensible values. Will try to find the blog for you.

Got it! Go to Techie Stuff, page 4, "What does this lever do?" from Jules59. This might help.

Kirsty, whatever can you mean, I was of course indicating the weather conditions might be more adverse in Allen's area than in mine!

I have a '99 V6 too and I just mentioned this problem last night to my hubby.
After reading this he went out and found the lever was in the forward position so he moved it back. I must admit it didn't seem to make much difference but it is going into the garage next week for a check so I will ask for it to be looked at.

well was out and had a look and it was in the forward position, so pushed it back into winter, and sad to say it has not made 1 jot of a difference so still no further on, Anyone got any more ideas?

Is it actually blowing when its at the lower settings - just not hot ? Or is it not blowing at all until you reach the highest setting ?
Oh and is the Manual system or electronic display version ?
