V6 oil leak/ plug well

Post by wishmaster » Fri Dec 11, 2009 6:01 pm

Hello there, been doing some checks today ready for the cold/bad weather :( , took the spark plugs out and gave them a good clean but notice that the plug well on the passenger side furthest to the back had a tad of oil in the well, plug was not affected in any way but not sure on this #-o , do think its a problem or just a little leak from the rocker cover gasket :?:
Any ideas

Thanks Iz
I have a plan and its as HOT as my pants

I have a leak on my rocker cover front driver side, slowly dumps oil into the plug well, short term fix get some bog roll rolled up down there to soak it up  #-o it will end up giving you a missfire eventually, the end of your lead will soak it up aswell and go spongy, check to see if the gasket has been glued before aswell, you may see evidence of sealant, mine has had someone in there before by the looks of it, i will get round to mine sometime soon :^o if i remember right the passenger side is the cheaper side to do but dont quote me on it

That sounds like there's a leak on the rocker cover gasket.
