I think you'll need to ask Cyprus what the procedure is for vehicles originally registered pre-co2 measurement. They must have a similar arrangement as here, where cc is the determining factor pre 2001.

I seem to recall importer Algys (I think) have some connection with Cyprus it could be worth contacting them for advice.

A 2000 Bongo is not the same as a 1997 one. So that figure could be higher or lower than for a 1997.

My 1997 100bhp 1.9TD doesn't not have a CO2 figure so tax is £190pa
My 2005 120bhp 1.9TD does have a CO2 figure (159g/km) so tax is £150pa

Pre and post CO2 measurement engines cannot be compared.

Does it matter?
Surely any vehicle first registered before the CO2 system started will be on a flat rate scheme of some kind. SFAIK that is the system in the UK and ROI and I'd have thought Cyprus would be likely to be similar.

A Google search on "Cyprus vehicle registration tax" turns this up

http://www.mcw.gov.cy/mcw/rtd/rtd.nsf/1 ... cedure.doc

BUT it only refers to vehicles
"A. Right hand drive, used vehicles, with first registration or purchase in a European Union member state"
and
"B. Right hand drive, used vehicles, imported from a country outside the European Union"

Your Bongo is neither as it wasn't first registered or purchased in a European Union member state nor is it being imported from a country outside the European Union.

So I don't know what applies to your circumstances.

I'm probably barking up the wrong tree here, but when my Multipla used to be MOTd at a certain garage, I'd get a printout of the emissions attached to the back of the MOT certificate. Haven't had any for the Bongo, and don't know what was written on my Multipla ones as all the paperwork went to the new owner when it was sold.

Would getting an emissions test and printout give the answer you need?

Spoke to my garage and Mot Test is different to CO2, shame co my emissions were only 2.30
