Wrong fuel filter....???

Post by gatecrasher » Tue Oct 20, 2009 8:37 pm

This afternoon I finally had the time to change the fuel filter that I've bought on evilbay last week, item No. 120473645084

After manging to unscrew the bloody thing it turn out that the filter does NOT fit as it is the wrong filter for the bongo, although on the description says MAZDA BONGO FUEL FILTER T/D 2.5CC 1995 - 2003 NEW !!! and my bongo is 1998 so since I have no experience on the matter I boguth it...well was I wrong or what?
I've wrote to the seller and hopefully he will refund me...wish me luck.

Thing is he as sold 5 of these filters and I was wondering if anyone is in this forum and as had the same problem.

Just thought I share this experience with everybody as the guy as still got some for sale.

nothing like the ones I have fitted...... probably a cross reference part..... the last one I fitted was a Blueprint boxed Nippon made one which looks like this..... Image

Cross reference the numbers from the Ebay ad and the filter the guy is selling is for a Mitsubishi......

Yes Mike the top one is the one that I should have bought but unfortunately I've got the bottom filter.

Please tell me more about the Mitsubishi filter, is it for a particular model or does it fit more model, as I might have to sell it back on ebay.

Thanks
