Central Locking Clicking

Post by apole » Fri Sep 25, 2009 5:03 pm

Hi,

For a while now my central locking on the front passenger door occasionally clicks as you are driving along. Not all the time and not every day.

If you lock the doors it stops.

Also realised that I've been using a normal key for a while and not the remote. If I do this it never happens, but returns when I use the remote.

Any ideas on what it could be. To me that rules out a loose wire. I've checked the looms in each door and they seem okay.

If its an after market remote control conversion it probably needs the solenoid in the door adjusting slightly

Hi,

It's factory fit but you could be right though, maybe the motor isn't pushing the drivers door button up enough. That would explain why when I lock the door by pushing the button down it stops.
