Yet again, when initially starting or pulling away i get a puff of black smoke. definitely black, not blue or bluey/black or white. have tried all the Stop smoke remedies for both fuel and oil. Any suggestions?

blank off egr valve.
wynns make an additive that you put direct into your fuel filter to clean it all out, worked for me before.

Try blanking off the egr, Allans sell the blanking plates, this is what it looks like inside the air intake thanks to the egr, this was 18 months after blanking the egr & after scooping out a finger full of gunk

Is it any wonder they smoke occasionally?
You can't polish a turd - but you can roll it in glitter.

Mine has decided not to puff black smoke anymore......... since I started using Veg oil....

Mine only used to puff the black smoke under load/heavy acceleration before the Veg oil....
