Flat Battery

Post by Barley 1981 » Wed Aug 12, 2009 2:00 pm

My other half forgot to turn the lights off this morning when arriving at work, then at lunchtime, the battery was flat.....a nice person jump started us and it's going again....how long will we need to drive it around to re-charge it?
It's a 2.5d.
thanks!

Depends on how it's driven, but an hour should probably do enough to make sure it starts next time :D

Thanks John, have just got my battery charger out for when it gets home and it says for petrol cars up to 1200cc, not any good for my Bongo!

Hi, your battery charger should do, it will just take longer, and is better than doing nothing.

Hi Tanya
Forget the rubbish about chargers being for up to 1200cc etc. Any 12V charger will charge your battery but, as Derek says, it'll just take longer. Actually, a slower charge is usually better for the battery, so just leave it on overnight :D
