speedometer sticks

Post by Barley 1981 » Fri Aug 07, 2009 5:50 pm

Sometimes the speedometer stays on zero mph when we set off and a bang on the dash will make it work again, any ideas!?

Mine did that when it was chipped. VERY annoying. :x

Replaced it with a 626 speedo and no problems since.

Maxheadroom may be able to help, might be worth dropping him a pm.
You can't polish a turd - but you can roll it in glitter.

Of course you can - just say I sent ya  It's what the pm system is about, sending a private message, just means you know the message is getting to the person you want it to :D

Mine used to do it too, and when it did the hold light flashed. Like you, I just used to turn off the ignition and start up again. Cured it in the end by fitting a 626 speedo that I got off ebay. It was indeed the converter chip giving problems.
