Front and Rear Bumper Removal A Handy Tip

Post by liggy » Sat Jun 27, 2009 2:40 pm

Having had to remove both bumpers lately for repair work. I had a small issue with the small retaining screws that secure the bumpers to the wheel arches due to the age of the vehicle I knew I would have problems removing them as they have a phillips head on them. To overcome this problem of screw head damage I searched for a solution and came up with this handy little tip. As they are bolts with a screw head they can be removed using a 8mm socket and some WD40 or other similar product. Result screws removed and no trashed heads. Hope this helps any fellow repairers.
