after having new stainles exhaust fitted see

i now have a question the winter pack was removed and the rubber hose has been left hanging down should this has been blanked off

That will probably the vacuum feed from the pipe on the front of the cambelt cover. Either blank it off or use it to run a Waeco MS50 cruise control. If you leave it open you will be sucking all sorts of dirt into the vacuum pump as well as reducing the servo effect on the brakes.

And it will stop your fast idle actuator working fully.

thanks very much pipe is now blocked up found a nice bolt and put it in the end
