Removed Roof Bars

Post by Out and About » Tue Jun 09, 2009 8:58 pm

Not sure if this is posted in the right place, I have only had my Bongo for 2 months and very uncertain about lots of things.

Today I removed the roof bars and the holes that are left look as if they should have something placed in them. The screw tops have come of with the roof bar and appear fixed in it so cant use them.

Is there something that needs to go in or is it OK to drive around with the holes exposed? Worried they may hold water etc. Grateful for any advice. Thanks

that's normal for the screw holes, nothing to be worried about.
Lost without my Bongo.

Are those threaded inserts in the AFT stainless steel or summat? Only mine didn't have anything in them until I made my DIY caravanstore mount and the inserts seemed completely corrosion free
