Spare Bulb Kit

Post by Alison01326 » Mon Jun 01, 2009 10:22 pm

I have searched for this topic, but no definitive answer - most people asking have been pointed to the Bongo Shop.

Thing is, I already have a spare bulb kit, which I had for my other car. Anyone know if it's any good for the Bongo, please?. It is a Ring H7 Universal Auto Bulb Kit "suitable for vehicles fitted with H7 (R477) Headlamp Bulbs".

Many thanks in advance.

The Bongo uses H4 headlight bulbs not the H7's.

Thanks for the very quick reply. I can find a new home for the H7 one now and clear a tiny, tiny space in the garage and get a brownie point from my husband.

Of course the replacement replacement bulb kit will live in the Bongo not the garage

Again, many thanks.

Don't dump the kit, just get an H4 to put in it.
Take a torch, toilet roll, and tea bags.

Is the H4 the headlamp bulb itself? Would that mean that all the other bulbs and the fuses in the kit would be suitable?

The rest of the bulbs should be OK, but it depends on which fuses are in the kit.
In the main fuse box Bongos use the small double tongue fuses, not the larger ones.

(Well mine does.......)

Bulbs I can cope with - I'd probably call the RAC if I thought it was a fuse gone and I didn't have a KitKat wrapper handy!

These look a lot bigger than the two I found in the Bongo after our local friendly auto-electrician had fitted my Willinton kit so yes, yours does and mine does too! Thanks for that.

Already answered, bulbs should be ok, I'd leave the fuses in, and add some Bongo ones.

You never know when someone might want one.
