Central locking fob

Does anyone know if you can get a replecement central locking fob. I think it is a standard mazda one,

I'd like to know that too - mine is falling apart and only seems to operate from a distance of six inches.

getting one may not be the problem if its a mazda origonal, programing it will be

Good luck with that. I got a spare "plipper" from eBay - identical to the one I had - but couldn't program it. Tried several methods I found on t'web, but no joy :( . I'd be interested to hear how you get on.

Alternatively it is really easy to replace the Mazda remote central locking with an after market kit (these can be bought on e bay for around £20). The Mazda module is in the driver's door and this can be replaced with the after market module. You just wire it to the existing door solenoid as polarity changing 2 wire system.
This gives you 2 remote controls and almost certainly better range as the existing system is not particularly good any way.
