wiring up spot lights and fog lights

Post by peanutcrusher » Wed Mar 11, 2009 12:56 am

Can anyone help with this, I was wounding how hard it is to wire in spot lights and fog lights from the bull bars to the empty switches, which are on the dash.

On that note does anyone know why there are a number of redundant switches on the dash.
Bongo now work later !!! :) :)

Quite easy.. (well, with a bit of advice from Mr Cain)
I wired up some spots for mine to come on with the main beam..
I used a mazda 626 switch to act as an isolator in line with the earth from the relay & the blue & white wire from the flash/main beam (me thinks) to trigger the relay when the switch is in the on position.
I took a live feed from the battery terminal (well the bolt just behind) & ran the wiring neatly along the existing loom through the rubber grommet in the bulkhead on the drivers side..
The lamps were earthed in the engine bay, the relay positioned under the dash (dry & out the way) there are actually two places under the dash on the drivers side to bolt & earth the relay to!

My fogs were factory fitted!

Someone will be along with a diagram soon!! [-o<
Cheaper by comparison to a race horse...
