Bongo Fury

Just recently increasing over 2-3 days I found my bongo dosent pick up revs..it will idle just fine and rev up to 2k but if you put your foot down a little more it'll just smoke chug and shake.
So when on the move I can only go about 20 mile per hour!!!!
Ive whacked a load of injector cleaner into the tank and directly into the fuel filter, i have also changed the fuel filter and checked the tank for debris....What now????? Help!!!!

somebody correct me if i am wrong BUT doesnt that sound like the egr valve might be sticking ?????

Wiskers have you check the air intake is clear and the air filter is ok. Could be not enough air getting through.

I don't think the egr would cause those symptoms, but the engine warming button, if it's got one, may be causing the problem, it does get knocked on inadvertantly, this closes a valve in the exhaust on the twin battery set up. Look down by your knee for a button with a pic of an engine on it. Sometimes the valve sticks closed.

You may have changed it "yesterday" but if it gets a load of kak through it that can be the result in less than 100 miles.

you have not put bio fuel in have you.
Thats what happened with mine after i did. cost £400 to sort

thanks, Im working my way through these posts today...
I have tried in vain in the past to locate the Banjo filter..I understand its on the fuel pump?? somewhere where the fule hose enters it, but where? and how many tiny tiny parts have i got to remove beofre I find it!!!!!

heres the fuel pump, where would it be located in relation to this diagram???

Undo the banjo connection on top of the pump, where the fuel goes in. There is a small gauze filter in the bottom of the hole. It's delicate, so I used a cotton bud to get it out.
