Service manual

Post by Fish » Thu Jan 08, 2009 5:16 pm

Hi there, just bought a 2.5 TD auto (off the wife as I use it more than she does).

I am a mechanic and would like to get hold of a service manual / how to guide all the same as I've never worked on one of these before. Any where i can download one or buy a haynes type guide?

I think you might get one from the Bongo Shop (top of page) off hand if I remember about £70.

The manual is translated from the Japanese & is slightly 'Engrish'. It's worth getting a copy for some of the torque settings etc, but it does lack some detail & does not cover whole sections such as electrics. A good source of reference can be found at http://www.lushprojects.com/bongopartsmk2/. Here you will find complete parts lists & diagrams which can be of use when stripping things down.
