glow plugs

Post by wes 68 » Fri Oct 03, 2008 5:52 pm

Hi all,the bongo's a pig to start on the first start of the day whether it be morn, noon or night. Its fine at all other times, glow plugs are getting a 12volt feed for 10 secs although light goes out after 5secs.So whipped the plugs out for test & found one not glowing, has anyone ever changed a single plug or is it advisable to change as a set? She's up for sale so trying to keep costs to a minimum, thanks in advance

Well I have to say if some one was to come and view it and it struggled to start would they buy it?

Best bet is change them and then it will be a easier or faster sale and you can point it out as a selling point

Oh one other thing, whilst i was digging around i thought i'd check the fuel bango filter which proved rather elusive.Took the pipe off at the front of the pump but here there was only a spring? Can only assume the filter is at the back of the pump, the return? Any helpful pics anyone?
