Check it's not the cables that pass thru' the door frame into the door.
The wires always snap and you get odd faults that are nowt to do with the switch. Try wriggling the section of the loom whilst operating the switch or feeeling to see if damaged wires are evident on the bit between door and frame?

Cheers Graham
I have tried the wiring looms between the door and frames,
no breaks or visual problems the passenger side slider in the drivers switch does not work and has burned out. And also the plastic pin has snapped off,the switch on the passenger side has had the contact points cleaned but still no movement,i inserted a small screwdriver in to the
broken pin area and tried to active the slider , with success it did move the window up and down , this has drawn me to a blank as to what the problem really is

Re: drivers window switch wiring info
If the pin is broke to the slider on one of the passenger switches & the slider in question has not been reset to the neutral position, the working switch will not operate the window on the passenger side.steve.b28 wrote:Cheers Graham

This might help with the wiring...

Black with Brown stripe. live
Black. earth
Orange. passenger up
Red with white stripe. passenger down
The Green wire, & Red with blue stripe wire do the drivers door. (I think green is up, red & blue down) but you won't find them in the loom between the door & body panel.
It's been a while since i pulled mine apart, but i don't think i'm that far out...?

And er this...? stay with it, it might help too...!

Oh yeah, ignore the bit about the rocker switch.. i don't think that's your problem.

Cheaper by comparison to a race horse...
